Where We Came From
Prairie Post Frame was founded on a clear understanding of what Western Canadian farmers and builders actually need from a post-frame company — quality materials, transparent timelines, and a finished product that performs the way it was supposed to. We observed a market too often driven by low pricing at the expense of engineering integrity and long-term durability.
We chose a different path. PPF was built from the start as a fully integrated operation — regional estimators, an adaptive design team, and in-house manufacturing that gives us control over what goes into every building we produce.
15+ years and more than 2,000 buildings later, that foundation is what we keep building from.

The People Behind the Build
Our regional sales reps are the face of Prairie Post Frame in the field. Each covers a defined territory across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, BC, or the Upper Midwest - bringing local building knowledge, practical project experience, and honest estimates to every site visit.
IN-HOUSE MANUFACTURING
Our Facility
Everything starts at our facility in Margaret, MB — a large property with multiple buildings housing four in-house manufacturing operations that set us apart from most companies in the post-frame industry.
Laminated Post Production
4-ply 2×8 Southern Yellow Pine laminated posts — finger-jointed, glued, pressed. Treated to LP-22 standards, backed by 75-year warranty.
Steel Rolling
Can-American high-tensile steel
cladding - 100,000+ PSI, 28-gauge galvanized with WeatherX finish. Custom profiles and colours produced to spec.
Truss Manufacturing
Engineered in-house using robotic cutting systems and laser projection gantry tables. Built to the specific span, snow load, and roof pitch.
Cellulose Insulation
We produce our own cellulose insulation packages. Wall assembly, vapour management, and ceiling system designed as a complete thermal envelope.
